Game – Elden Ring
Writers – George R.R. Martin, Hidetaka Miyazaki
The Golden Order has been broken.
Rise, Tarnished, and be guided by grace to brandish the power of the Elden Ring and become an Elden Lord in the Lands Between.
In the Lands Between ruled by Queen Marika the Eternal, the Elden Ring, the source of the Erdtree, has been shattered.
Marika’s offspring, demigods all, claimed the shards of the Elden Ring known as the Great Runes, and the mad taint of their newfound strength triggered a war: The Shattering. A war that meant abandonment by the Greater Will.
And now the guidance of grace will be brought to the Tarnished who were spurned by the grace of gold and exiled from the Lands Between. Ye dead who yet live, your grace long lost, follow the path to the Lands Between beyond the foggy sea to stand before the Elden Ring.
And become the Elden Lord.
Challenge
This game kicked my ass in the beginning! Wow did I get frustrated and almost quit on many occasions, but once you stick through the pain and learn, it does a complete 180 to be one of the best games ever.
Anyone who has ever played a video game knows that they can be addictively fun. But what makes them so compelling? One answer is that games offer us a chance to experience a sense of achievement. In our day-to-day lives, we so often feel like we’re just going through the motions, with little opportunity to test our skills and see how far we can push ourselves. Games provide a much-needed outlet for this, allowing us to take on difficult challenges and achieve a sense of accomplishment. And while the rewards of playing may be mostly virtual, they can still be incredibly satisfying. So next time you’re feeling stuck in a rut, pick up a controller and see if you can rise to the challenge. Chances are, you’ll find it more enjoyable than you thought.
Dark Fantasy
I sure love me some Grimdark and this game is steeped in it! As the story comes from one of most recognized authors of that style, George R.R. Martin, it’s not surprising. (If you don’t know him, he wrote those Harry Potter books!)

Epic
There’s just something about witnessing epic moments that give you a feeling of amazement. The scale of the world is massive, there are incredible god powers at play, and the bosses are mountains. Whatever the moment you run into, it’s sure to leave you feeling awestruck.

Should I play It?
If you are perpetually years behind because you are too busy with everything else going on, then maybe you have not played Elden Ring yet. If not – hell yeah pick it up. Seek anger management.
